About UmetMe
What is UmetMe?
UmetMe is a network of small digital screens in local Sydney shops and cafés, ideally beside the till. Shops get the screen free, show their own specials, promote their neighbours and share the revenue from local ads.
How do you say UmetMe?
“You-met-me.” It's written as one word: UmetMe.
Is UmetMe a dating app?
No. UmetMe is an in-store screen network for local shops and advertisers in Sydney.
Where does UmetMe operate?
In Sydney, Australia.
What happens if the internet drops?
Content is downloaded to each screen ahead of time, so the loop keeps playing offline and plays are logged once it reconnects.
How do I contact UmetMe?
Use the form at the bottom of any page, or email contact@tabterminal.com.
For advertisers
How much does it cost to advertise on UmetMe?
Rates are on request. They depend on how many screens, which areas and how long your campaign runs. You can book a guaranteed schedule or a pack of plays to use flexibly.
Can I choose which screens show my ad?
Yes. Choose by area and by type of store, and pick the days and hours you want.
What can I advertise?
Most local products and services. Every ad is reviewed before it goes live, and shop owners can rule out categories they don't want.
What format should my ad be?
A still image or a short video for a landscape screen. If you don't have one, we can design it for you.
How do I know my ad was shown?
Every play is logged by the screen. If your ad has a QR code, we count its scans too.
Where are the screens?
In local shops and cafés in Sydney. We share exact locations when we plan your campaign.
For shop owners
Is the screen really free?
Yes. The screen is free for host shops.
Is this the same as buying digital signage?
It does the same job as a digital signage screen for your menu and specials, but you don't pay for the screen or the software. Ads from local brands cover the cost, and you share that revenue.
How much of the airtime is mine?
You get plenty of airtime for your own content. The rest plays promos from neighbouring shops and paid local ads.
How do I earn money from the screen?
Host shops share the revenue from the ads that play on their screen. We'll go through the details with you before you sign.
What is the neighbour network?
Every shop with an UmetMe screen promotes the others nearby. Your specials can play on your neighbours' screens, and theirs on yours.
Can I say no to certain ads?
Yes. Every ad is reviewed, and you can rule out any category you don't want next to your till.
What if the internet drops?
Content is downloaded to the screen ahead of time, so the loop keeps playing offline.
What if there's no power point near my till?
Use the cordless screen instead: it runs on its own battery, so it doesn't need a power point.
Cordless screen
Does the cordless screen need a power point?
No. It runs on its own battery: charge it, unplug it and place it anywhere.
Can the cordless screen play video?
No. It shows still images, like a printed sign you can change remotely.
Is it easy to read in a bright shop?
Yes. Colour e-paper reflects light like paper, so it stays readable in bright light.
