About
About UmetMe
UmetMe (say “you-met-me”) is building a network of small digital screens in local Sydney shops and cafés, ideally beside the till. Shops get the screen free, local brands pay to advertise on it, and the shops share that revenue.

Why the checkout
Waiting to pay is one of the few moments people stand still in a shop. A small screen at eye level beside the till reaches them right there, close to the businesses around them.
Why neighbours
Local shops on the same street share the same customers. When each of their screens promotes the others, every shop gets seen by more people nearby, and local advertising pays for the network.
The name
UmetMe is said “you-met-me”: the people and places you meet in your own neighbourhood. It is written as one word.
Who's behind it
